Jesus loves women, and, you should too.

Jesus was hanging out in a town called Sychar in Samaria. He was hanging out at a well alone, after he sent his disciples to get some food. When he was there a woman came to the well. Jesus had asked her for water, her life would never be the same.

Jesus was hanging out in this place called the Mount of Olives at the temple courts. When he was there, a group gathered around him and he started teaching. Some religious leaders of his day brought a woman who was caught in adultery. When the religious leaders wanted to stone her, he said that those without sin should throw the first stone. Jesus and no one else condemned her.

Jesus fought for women, because women could not fight for themselves. Jesus treated all people equally. The compassion of Jesus changes people and the systems they walk in.

1 in 3 women are sexually abused.

1 in 6 women are raped or are the victim of an attempted rape.

Every 9 seconds a woman is beaten.

Every day 3 women are murdered by their husbands or boyfriends.

1 in 6 rapists go to prison.

The average male makes around 42k a year in America. Women, 31k.

Retired women make receive around 70% of the same Social Security benefits that men receive.

There are nearly 10 million single mom’s in America.

Women are not objects. To continue to treat them as social & sexual minorities and inferiors degrades the beauty and glory in which human beings are made. To be Jesus here, would be to extend the same hand of compassion to not only women but all people. Jesus loves women, and, we should too.
